We offer a variety of ways to learn about Elderberry Commons, ranging from large audience presentations to intimate gatherings of a few folks, plus online Zoom sessions with our members. Join us for a relaxed Meet & Greet Potluck and get to know Elderberry Commons.

This informal gathering is a chance to meet future neighbors, learn more about the vision for the community, and experience the kind of connection that makes cohousing so unique. Whether you’re just beginning to explore or already considering next steps, you’re welcome here.

Bring a favorite beverage and a salad or dessert to share—we’ll provide a vegetarian main dish.

Space is limited. The address will be shared with registered guests the day before the event.

Join us for an in-person information session to learn more about cohousing and Elderberry Commons.

This session will be hosted by Elderberry Commons member Sandy Wood, along with other community members, who will share insights into cohousing for adults 55+ and what makes this way of living so unique. You’ll hear about the vision for Elderberry Commons, how the community is taking shape, and what it means to be part of a forming community.

This information session will include a 25-minute film about cohousing, and there will be plenty of time for questions and answers.

THE COHOUSING ASSOCIATION USA: THE COHOUSING SUMMIT IN SEATTLE

Join us for the Cohousing Summit: Seattle, a one-day gathering for anyone drawn to deeper connection—whether you already live in community, are helping to create one, or are simply curious about new ways of living well together.

The summit will explore how cohousing and other community-centered housing models foster belonging, expand housing options, and support people across all stages of life. Through interactive breakout sessions, engaging conversations, and opportunities to connect, the day is designed to offer both practical insight and a strong sense of community.

Elderberry Commons Cohousing will be part of the event, with a display booth and a speaker—offering a chance to learn more about our forming 55+ cohousing community and meet members in person.

We’ll also host a no-host dinner at a local restaurant on May 16 for those who would like to continue the conversation in a more informal setting.

Optional tours of Seattle-area cohousing communities will be available before and after the summit.

This is a good chance to get to know some of our members and play games such as Ticket to Ride, Upwards, Quirkle, Tantrix, Bananagrams, Carcasonne, Blokus, Skylo, Mexican Train, Super Boggle, Azul, Rummikub, Splendor and Code Names.
